Alfred Place Baptist Church

Alfred Place Baptist church is a bible believing, gospel preaching church that upholds the Doctrines of Grace; the emphasis at A.P. is on clear, relevant Biblical preaching. The church exists to worship God, to proclaim the good news that Jesus Christ provides eternal salvation for all who repent of their sins and trust in him alone as Saviour, and to provide teaching and fellowship which helps believers to live in a way pleasing to God.There is a morning and evening service on a Sunday as well as a prayer meeting on Tuesday night. Students have a chance to meet after the Sunday evening service in the Manse for further fellowship and discussion. They are also welcome to get involved with the children’s work and other ministries at the church. Additionally, there is a well stocked bookshop attached to the church that is open throughout the week. ap

Elim Pentecostal

elim Elim Christian Fellowship is a made up of around 40 believers, and when the students are here this number increases significantly. We are part of the Elim Pentecostal movement and the Evangelical Alliance. Our church is charismatic in belief with a strong emphasis on solid bible teaching, enthusiastic praise and worship, and exercising the spiritual gifts. We meet each Sunday at 10.30am for praise, worship, teaching and fellowship, including tea and coffee after the meeting.

We have evening home groups on Sundays and Wednesdays, where we study God’s word in depth and have a chance to get to know each other better. On Thursday, we meet as a fellowship pray for each other, for the church, for our town, for our nation and for the world. Students are warmly welcomed at all of these mid-week meetings.

Opportunities abound for students to get involved in all that we do: whatever their gifting. We have active children and youth ministries and a very enthusiastic music group always on the look-out for new members.

A few students regularly attend there, and it suits very well those who are looking to go to a smaller Anglican church than St. Mike's and still enjoy good preaching and fellowship within a smaller congregation. It is situated on Trinity Road, which is a road just off the bottom of Penglais Hill. holytrinity

St Mike's

St Mike’s is a lively Anglican church. Worshipping God is central to life at St Mike's. We combine new modern styles of worship with traditional styles and each age group in the church is represented in the leading of worship. The Church leadership is totally committed to preaching, teaching, and, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, attempting to live the Bible and its commands. Whatever your gift there will be plenty of room to settle in and be of use in St Mike’s with opportunities to work in children's and youth work, be on the welcome team, or sing in the choir. Reuben and Mel, the student pastors, are on hand to help wherever possible, they organise girls’ and boys’ weekends away, Alpha courses, and one to one bible studies. The Living Room runs every week after the evening service and is an informal time to relax and chat with fellow students. Logos, the student cell groups take place on Wednesdays at 19:00. They are an opportunity to study God’s word more closely and allow you to get to know people from Church better. stmikes

Santes Fair

St Mikes/Santes Fair Mae’r Eglwys fach deuluol yma, wedi ei lleoli yn Gray’s Inn Road. Cymharol fach yw nifer y bobl sy’n mynychu’r eglwys yma, o’i gymharu â’i chwaer-eglwys Sant Mihangel (St.Mikes) ond o’r eiliad y troediwch i fewn cewch eich croesawu gan bawb yno, a phawb yn barod i ofalu amdanoch chi fel petai nhw’n eich adnabod erioed! Cynhelir ‘Gwasanaeth Teuluol’ unwaith y mis, a gweddill y boreua’ Sul, cynhelir gwasanaeth dan drefn y ‘Foreol Weddi’. Ceir gwasanaethau ar nos Sul hefyd. Unwaith y mis eto am 6, ceir ‘Grym Mawl’, sef gwasanaeth mwy hamddenol, gyda chaneuon mwy modern yn hytrach nag emynau, ac yna gweddill y nosweithiau Sul ceir yr ‘Hwyrol Weddi’. Ar ddiwedd pob gwasanaeth ceir amser i gymdeithasu, ac i gael paned a bisged a chacen ar brydiau! (sydd yn luxury bach i fyfyrwyr tlawd! ☺ )
Ar hyn o bryd, nid oes llawer o fyfyrwyr yn mynd i’r eglwys yn wythnosol, ond os ydych chi’n medru siarad y Gymraeg, yn sicr dewch draw, oherwydd bydd wastad croeso cynnes i chi gan bawb yno, cewch ddysgeidiaeth anhygoel, a chewch gymaint o gyfleoedd i fod yn rhan o deulu clos yr eglwys!
